Devotion 1: Faith Over Fear

 Scripture 1 : Psalm 27:1
“The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid?”
Reflection
Fear is something we all experience fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of pain. But David reminds us that God is our light and salvation. When He is with us, fear loses its grip.
Instead of being controlled by what scares us, we’re invited to look to God’s presence and power. Faith doesn’t ignore problems; it sees them in light of who God is.
Application
When fear whispers lies, respond with truth.
Keep this verse with you today. Write it down. Meditate on it. Whenever you feel anxious, say aloud:
“The Lord is my light and my salvation.
Let this become your spiritual weapon against worry.
Prayer
Lord, You are greater than anything I fear.
Be my light when the path is dark.
Be my strength when I feel weak.
Today, I choose faith over fear.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
