The Hidden Treasure from God, Wisdom Above All

The hidden treasure is Word of God |
Introduction
In today’s world, people are constantly chasing after material wealth, money, status, possessions, fame.
But Scripture reveals that there’s a greater treasure hidden in Christ: the wisdom of God.
Colossians 2:2–3
“…Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”
God invites us to seek a treasure that cannot be stolen or lost spiritual wisdom and insight, which lead to eternal life and godly success.
Let‘us think about the following:
1. God’s Wisdom Is Greater Than Earthly Riches
Proverbs 8:10–11
“Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare of it.”
How many Christians place the Bible and the knowledged of it superior to gold and silver
Scripture teaches that wisdom from God is a lasting treasure far more valuable than material wealth.
In today’s time, people invest in quick wins and fleeting success. Yet godly wisdom helps us make decisions that last and reflect God’s will.
2. Solomon A Man Who Chose Wisdom Over Wealth
1 Kings 3:9–14
“…So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong… Since you did not ask for riches… I will give you a wise and discerning heart and I will also give you what you did not ask for: both wealth and honor.”
Referring to the degree of wisdom given to Salomon by the Lord
Solomon did not ask for riches but wisdom to lead God’s people well. As a result, God gave him both wisdom and riches.
Today, how many of us ask God for wisdom in our daily lives? In our relationships? Our work? Our calling? Wisdom is the root of meaningful growth.
3. This Hidden Treasure Can Transform Your Life
James 1:5
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
Portains to proper knowledge of the word of God, the Lord gives to those who ask, providing they ask the right thing, a greater knowledge of the word of God is the right thing.
Godly wisdom is available to all but only to those who ask, seek, and trust.
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
This means when we ask wisdom of Him, He will not reproach or chide us for our past conduct. He permits us to come in freest manner, and meets us with a spirit of entire kindness, and with promptness in granting our requests.
We must put first things first. While others chase riches, believers are called to seek God’s heart and His wisdom. That’s the true treasure.
